“I love to sing, I love voices. Singing is like medicine for me, it"s healing,” says singer Catherine Russell in a Jazz FM interview. She continues: “I had a full-tme career as a back-up singer and I was a little afraid to start a solo career so late. But now I find that it"s the best decision I"ve ever made – because I"m having such a good time, I"m going to different places, I"m making new frinds and meeting different musisicnas that are also in love with traditional jazz and blues. It"s really the best decision I"ve made in my life”.
